CALDERYS Expertise in Waste incineration

Calderys India has over 3 decades of experience of successful activity in this segment. Coupled with over 100 years of Calderys experience in the Waste Incineration industry, we are considered as reference supplier in this segment in India. We are proud to be associated with leading projects in this segment on turnkey basis. Our pioneering implementation of innovative monolithic products and design solutions safeguard profitability thanks to better energy transfer, reduced maintenance downtime, and longer repair cycles. Calderys global experience and our local experience allow us to offer the most suitable and cost effective technical solutions that will contribute to our customer's productivity and efficiency. For our customers in the Waste to Energy industry, we focus our efforts on the following concerns:

  • Safety, reliability, and productivity of equipment
  • Heat transfer
  • Protection of the tube-wall against corrosion
  • Strict environmental regulations to burn NOx.

Products & Applications

We offer a full range of products and solutions based on our dedicated monolithic refractory range.

Tank melting and
holding furnaces

These units often suffer from conditions such as severe  corrosion and abrasion, related to temperature, presence of particulate matter in the gas stream, and the chemical composition of the waste. Calderys has developed a dedicated range meeting the demands of these wear conditions. Our low cement castables (LCC) have a high mechanical strength and present high abrasion resistance. Specific additives in low cement castables, such as SiC (a mix of Sic and Zircon Silicate) bring alkali resistance to the castables. Our newly developed products under Accplast family – Accplast 80, Accplast 70SC have been found to be best suited to protect tube walls and collectors as these have very high abrasion resistance.

We have recently developed a family of castables; with an alkali resistant matrix that can be used where SIC oxidizes (like in high temperatures, liquid slag, etc). They have been installed and have shown excellent results.

The refractory lining must withstand stress and also insure heat transfer to the tube-walls. Due to regulations, the conversion of NOx gasses into N2 is of primary importance. SiC additions in low cement castables allow the modification of heat transfer, which can be adjusted later to the OEM requirements. Our Low Cement Castable range offers products with additions of SiC from 10% to 90%. When high temperature is needed, for example in the first chamber where NOx must be transformed into N2, low SiC addition and/or products with an alkali resistant matrix preferred.

Boilers also require short stoppages and fast installations. Calderys India was one of the first to come to the market with two dedicated product ranges adapted to the new gunning technologies ACCGUN and ACCMON GUN products with high abrasion and alkali resistance. Service life of these gunning mixes is similar to corresponding cast-vibrated products.

Installation, Commissioning and Turnkey Maintenance

Well aware of refractory and Waste incineration process knowledge, our experimented supervisors and installers provide expert technical guidance and the best suited installation equipment to ensure the refractory performance during service.

Calderys India employs dedicated skilled staff and the latest advances in refractory installation equipment. This can be applied to small, large, and turnkey projects alike depending on the requirement. Alternatively, we can support your teams by supervision, project management, equipment, and also direct installation training. Our aim is to ensure the best installation and dry-out of the refractory so that the customer gets maximum performance.
Once in service, the refractory may require specific maintenance which again can be supplied depending on the customer needs. In some cases, and depending on the situation, services may be available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, thereby ensuring minimum downtime for the customer—especially for unplanned stoppage.

Turnkey new Projects

Our engineering teams, dedicated to the Waste incineration industry, help customers meet a wide range of needs such as: refractory lining design, heat transfer calculation, quotation, planning, installation and dry-out.

Calderys India is often consulted in the development of a technical solution. Familiar with the specific processes of each type of units, we are able to engineer a refractory solution, provide project management services, and advise on the proper installation techniques for new projects. We have an excellent reputation for providing reliable solutions and thus have created many long-lasting relationships with our customers, end users, and engineering companies which have praised our products. Our strategic partnerships with the customers ensure that we develop market-oriented solutions on regular basis. Our decades of Indian experience coupled with over 100 years of experience of Calderys provides us the capability to become the integrated refractory partner and meet all your needs from solution design to implementation.
